The matriarch of House Bellona. She is the wife of Imperator Tiberius au Bellona, and the mother of Karnus, Cassius, and Julian, as well as several others.
Personality
Julia is more emotional and spiteful than her husband, consumed by the need to avenge her son Julian, whipping up the full power of her house to murder Darrow, his killer. She is willing to break rules of the Compact in order to achieve her goals, and seems more forceful than her husband. She favoured Julian among her children, according to Karnus.
Involvement
Julia embitters her house against Darrow in Golden Son, amassing the full wrath of her house against him in order to avenge her son Julian. She is primarily responsible for sending Karnus and her kin to assault Darrow. Later, when her son Cassius is in danger of being killed by Darrow, she breaks the rules of the duel to send her family against him, pushing House Bellona into conflict with House Augustus. She, along with Cassius, are the only known members left in her house to survive the ensuing conflict.
